  • FYI: Fisher Price Recall Information

Nearly 1 Million Toys Recalled For Excessive Amounts Of Lead

    (CBS)  “Toy-maker Fisher-Price is recalling 83 types of Chinese-made toys -
including the popular Big Bird, Elmo, Dora and Diego characters -
because their paint contains excessive amounts of lead.

The recall, announced on Aug. 1, involves 967,000 plastic preschool
toys made by a Chinese vendor and sold in the United States between May
and August. It is the latest in a wave of recalls that has heightened
global concern about the safety of Chinese-made products.”

My son had one of these toys that we purchased from Big Lots.  Luckily, it was taken away soon after purchase for disciplinary purposes.  Please, visit the very helpful Fisher-Price website and answer the questions to determine if you have one of the toys listed in the recall.

    From my home to yours,
    Andrea

  • This should be a warning to everyone, especially for parents. Before purchasing a toy make sure that the materials used on it are not harmful. It should have the manufacturer’s name and content label so you can rely on them if there will be an issue if ever. Avoid buying suspicious toy to avoid danger.
